RMR-86 Instant Mold Stain & Mildew Stain Remover is a very good product to remove mold and mildew stains. It doesn’t leave a residue after application. Sanding and scrubbing is not required for this product. It can be applied to any porous surfaces which includes concrete, fiberglass, drywall, tile, grout, wood, vinyl, and many others.
This is a commercial grade liquid cleaner, but a professional contractor isn’t required. That being said, you will need to follow the instructions carefully. A number of contractors use this very product for cleanup. Being plant based, it is safe to use on most surfaces. The company does recommend using one of their other products (RMR Botanical) to remove the bacteria odor. RMR 86 does contain sodium hypochlorite, which is an extremely strong bleach so I would use a little at a time because the fumes could overwhelm you. Also, proper protective gear such as safety goggles and gloves should be worn.
The shelf life of this product is 6-8 months. After this date, performance will not be as great.
